A: Yes. iStraight System has specially formulated ingredients (that are very gentle and highly conditioning) so that it can be safely performed on highlighted or bleached hair. Cysteine and Cysteamine in the solutions will also counteract the Thio to help prevent overprocessing, as well as building more bonds than ever before. Side-formulas such as Pure Keratin, Ceramide Serum, and Reaction Treatment B3 will protect the extremely damaged areas to even out the processing.

A: It is not recommended, but many stylists have succeeded on pre-relaxed hair that is still healthy. Of course, if it has been a few months, the new growth can be straightened with iStraight System.

A: The hair will continue to naturally oxidize and re-harden into a stable state over these 48 hours providing long-lasting results. Bands or clips can leave a permanent mark on the hair. Other straightening systems may require up to 72 hours of absolute straightness while iStraight System recommends a minimum of 24 hours, but 48 hours is recommended.
